I've read it three times, and it has an equally or perhaps even more
admired sequel, "A deepness in the Sky".

Having reread A Fire Upon the Deep, I am continuing the trilogy and am
about a third of the way through a reread of A Deepness In The Sky which
I am enjoying more than the five star A Fire... and it is only going to
get better when the races meet.

There's a third book "The Children of the Sky" which I liked a lot, but
lacks the grand scale of the other two, being set entirely on the Tines'
    world.

I liked it quite a bit. I had to adjust my perspective a bit, but it
was a good read and I'm quite sorry that we won't see more.

It only has two stars in my Calibre library but I will reread it and
hopefully revise that opinion as I incorrectly had remembered A Fire
Upon the Deep as having a lot more emphasis on the Tines and those
memories probably come from Children of the Sky. I recall it being about
power conflicts between Humans, between Tines, and between Humans and
Tines. Great scope for Vinge to work with but the intrigues, deceptions, betrayals caused by the differing philosophies of the Trilateral
Emergents and Qeng Ho combined with the Spiders in the Deepness in the
Sky together with all the back stories and sub plots will be difficult
    to equal.

If he isn't re-reading the Liaden books, Honor Harrington or

That reminds me, I need to reread Mutineer's Moon again for the 6th or
10th time. Somebody on reddit tripped me up on it recently.

I think that I have reread only one of the Liaden books to date. I
would like to reread the entire series as I got confused about the time
    of each book.

I do not remember rereading any of the Honor Harrington books. I would
like the reread that and the Safehold series.

I would like to reread the Starfire books and see if I still like them a
lot. I recommended them to someone on reddit the other day.
