• Then, once you paid for premium..

From Ogg@VERT/CAPCITY2 to Arelor on Mon Nov 10 12:31:00 2025
    Hello Arelor!

The issue is they have realized that ad-revenue is a dead
end in the long term so they are trying to make the
expeirence so misserable you end up paying for premium.
Then, once you paid for premium, they start shoving ads up
    your ass anyway.

Premium still pushes ads? I did not know that.

I did get suckered in to the inserted vid feeds in my channel
early on when they started. But now I notice that many of them
    look similar and fake.

I totally try to avoid FB as long as I can. I have a canned
message reply on my FB biz Messenger page to "use email if you
    expect a reply".

I think it does not (yet), but many videos have sponsors anyway, so you will end up eating their sponsorship advertisement anyway unless you use advanced adblocking.

But still, many streaming platforms sold themselves as the premium option you pay to get rid of the ads, and eventually started including ads in their paid subscriptions anyway.

So, frankly, the wise thing to do is to skip paying them and just go straight for good adblockers. Specially for youtube, because their plan is clearly to make the free experience so pityful, painful and misserable you end up paying. It is extortion, blackmail, creating a problem in order to sell you their solution. So fuck them.

i think youtube has tried to get me to do a premium trial like 1000x.
some people say it's good for playing music.

one thing i just noticed is i'm no longer able to increase the speeds of some videos. i think this is because i'm not youtube plus or whatever.

i'm a big fan of watching youtube vids at a faster rate.

now i think it's because i have an adblocker chrome extension.

i dont have an issue on opera with no addons

I've had YouTube Premium for a little while. I do think it's good for music, though I also like to browse & watch videos on YouTube sometimes, and it's nice to not have them interrupted with ads.
