I had to do that once with my old XT. Had the output going to the Star NX1000 I had hooked up to it. I still have that printer here somewhere. If it was easy to get ribbons for I might find a use for it.
I always wanted one of those. I had a crappy Citizen printer that only
did bold and regular print, if I recall those Star printers had a
couple of fonts.
That was something I did not originally appreciate until I found a shareware (or freeware?) program called NX1000. Using that, and/or some control characters in PC-WRITE, you could at least change your font size. So if
you wanted something that looked like letterhead, with bold and bigger
letters, you could print it. ;)
IIRC, you could also italicize text and probably use a different font.
