Is it possible to use Windows 10 without trusting Micro$oft? :)

I don't think any of can use Windows 10 without trusting Microsoft at least
a little, where both Paul (as I recall) and I tried to stop Microsoft from updating every month when they first started doing that years ago, but I
not only gave up, but I started welcoming the updates & security patches.

I have a bad idea: separate online and offline activities using 2
    different installations of Windows 10.

For online activities, keep using the latest and "greatest" as
    recommended or commanded by Micro$oft.

For offline activities, stay with the first release of Windows 10
(1509?) but with all network connections destroyed or disabled.

The two installations do NOT see nor interact with each other, other
sharing files over a common data partition. All C:\users\ directories
    are NOT used.

Your data is in the offline Win-10. The online Win-10 is NOT allowed to
    see it.

IIRC, 1507. It included the first version of (non-Chromium) Edge, Which I usually call IE12.
