What happened to UR Browser?
Went looking for it out of curiosity and it won't download and does not appear in any browser comparison sites.
Searched on "ur browser". First hit pointed to:
https://www.ur-browser.com/en-US/
The download link points to:
https://get.beeapi.net/URBrowser/setup.exe
(I removed all the tracking crap in the arguments)
and get "get.beeapi.net's server IP address could not be found". The
web server exists, but not the file server.
Some download sites (
https://1stbrowser.en.softonic.com/) purport to
have the download, but all they do is point to the ur-browser.com site.
They don't have the file.
https://filehippo.com/download_ur-browser/
has the file (v48.1.2564.47, February 10, 2026).
Although you can reach a web server at ur-browser.com, parts of that
website are gone.
https://blog.ur-browser.com/ gets the same "IP
address could not be found", so the blog subdomain no longer has a DNS
lookup. The About Us link points to
http://www.adaptivebee.com/, but
that just redirects back to ur-browser.com. There is a Contact Us web
form at
https://www.ur-browser.com/en-US/contact-us, and their Need Help hyperlink is an e-mail to
support@ur-browser.com. Under their Products
links is one pointing to urlauncher.com, but, again, it dies with the
"IP address could not be found". You could try contacting them as to
why their websites are screwed up, but I doubt you'll get a response.
They may not know their DNS is screwed up.
"UR is a secure web browser created by AdaptiveBee ..."
The links at ur-browser.com that have adaptivebee.com just redirect back
to ur-browser.com.
You sure you want to use this, um, shiitake stuff? It was still in beta
mode back in July 2023.
