That when we boot into Windows 10/11,
we are actually using a remote session
in a Windows Server somewhere on Earth?

How can you tell? ;)

Your Internet connection is too slow to fool anyone.
The computer would feel "dog slow" if implemented that way.

My Internet connection is only 15/1 , as an example.
It takes too long to ship significant amounts of
data that way (at only 2MB/sec).

What if you enable the internet connection
again? Would the remote session be resumed
and data sync-ed auto-magically the moment
you do it?

I know this is too paranoid... But is the
technology doing it feasible now? ;)

Internet traffic jam can happen from time
to time and maybe suddenly, even in real
life. It's not a reliable indicator.

Depends (I think that is what he wears). What do you consider to be compromised?

To answer your last question first. Yes the technology is very much
capable of doing it now. Just ask any HP printer owner.....
Does every OS or app or program use that technology? no. Does windows?
Yes.Does Google/tiktok/facebook/microsoft and many many others use it?
Yes.

As for your original question we are about half way to that point
right now. Some setups do not connect to the Microsoft servers at all,
but that is getting harder and harder to accomplish.... switching to
Linux helps. Are you running your windows session on a microsoft
server? depends.... all office 365 sessions are run on their servers,
but the basic OS is just sending all your data to the servers while
running on your own system (for now) .

There is a general push to get the entire computing population to
move to a server based system. This allows the companies to control
everything done on their software, and be able to gather/use/sell
whatever information people put out there. Put it on the Internet and
they own it, not you. You lose any control of that information/data.

People in the know have been warning of this for many years now, but
the general population loves the easy way to do things , and just
waves their hands at all the intrusive parts as being the cost of
convenience. To get around it you would need to have absolutely zero connections to the Internet. No Cell Phone, no modern car or TV, no
alexa, no cable box, or youtube. No thermostat that connects to the
web.... etc.

How can you tell? Simple... are you connected to the Internet at any
time? Yes? then someone/thing is gathering information on you .

1: you encrypt the data so that no one but you can read it.
2: you have no connection to the internet.
3:Firewall/block every single site or IP address that may be stealing
or listening in to your computer. But that list would be huge, and

There is no benefit to the companies/governments to allow the customers/citizens to do that . Your data is the product that they are
selling. Its as simple as that. I agree morally speaking there should
be a way to keep my things private. But the only way to get those
other benefits, like internet access, and AI, is to let them take all
of your information, that is today's currency. And we all know about
the morality of today's big business/Governments. Anything to make a
profit Or influence your decision making is acceptable for them.

Thus you will have nothing online(only offline).
If still concerned, reduce your footprint even further...try chalk and blackboard or sticks in the sand.

If still concerned, reduce your footprint even further...try chalk and
blackboard or sticks in the sand.

Sticks in the sand aren't much good .... as they might get wiped out at
High Tide .... and, given Climate Change, High Tide is only getting
HIGHER!! ;-P

That's makes reducing the footprint even further.
- chalk can be erased, wind or even blowing hot air wipes the stick
drawing.
