I clicked the "yes" to a Libre Office update and in my desperation to
try to stop it I pressed abnd held dowbn the reset button, and now
when I start up Windows 10 on my Dell Laptop, it comes uop with the
display upside down. Any hints on how to get it rightside up again?

drop-down list of four - Landscape, Portrait, Landscape (flipped), and
Portrait (flipped). Selecting any but the current one will invoke it -
and revert after about 11 seconds unless you accept it. Note that trying Portrait, although it reverts, moves round any windows (including
sub-windows like Thunderbird uses) you have open.

Try this:

Press Ctrl + Alt + Down Arrow.

This might work if the Intel Graphics is set to default. I had this
problem during the XP days.

A reset button does NOT invert Windows
10's screen. You possibly touched some
other buttons or keys while "pressed
abnd held dowbn the reset button",
because you got distracted.

I remember, some years (decades?) ago, encountering something - I think
it might have been specific to some make of graphic card - that would
rotate the display if you pressed some combination of key with the arrow
keys; I've tried the obvious ones (but not combinations). At the time,
it was presented as a prank you could inflict on orqeurs de vaches,
though obviously it had real uses too.

works if you have certain graphics hardware (and the relevant driver); I remember encountering it years ago. I just tried it on here (W10), and
nothing happened. But does sound like a good guess as to what happened
in Steve Hayes' case.

Note that if you try these - or the way I described using the official
route which works on anything - if you use the sideways ones, they'll
scramble at least the position of any windows you have open, and
possibly your desktop layout too - and _not_ revert them when you switch
back.

Funny, I found it because someone on the web complained about this not
working anymore in W11.
Looking a bit further shows it's part of the Intel Graphics and Media
Control Panel.
So, yes it was added by the driver, but other drivers may include it too.
BTW, it also works on W10 here, It's not just W11.
