From David LaRue@3:633/280.2 to All on Thu Jan 11 09:55:22 2024
A friend told me that hobbes will be going away soon. I think the date mentioned was April. So if you need anything for OS/2 or DOS get there
    soon.

I know two people that have downloaded / archived 18 GB of data from
    hobbes for future serving.

One of them is actively working to try to reconstruct the dynamic aspect
    of hobbes.

Another one is going to try to drive across town and get in touch with
admins in the hops of getting a copy of the back end data, scripts, etc.
    for the site.

If your contacts can get a working system together, ask them to put it
all in a big clump as a torrent. That's something I'd seed for as long
    as possible.

I've also heard that Jason Scott of The Internet Archive has said "I've
got this" regarding the hobbes archive.

So that means that T.I.A. will likely end up providing a torrent download.

    (I hit send too soon.

    There's also https://www.os2site.com/index.html which includes a mirror
of Hobbes. Work is being done to support uploads.
