Star Trek IV: The Voyage Home is returning to UK theaters, gets poster
Ahead of its 40th Anniversary, Star Trek IV: The Voyage Home will return
to UK cinemas. The movie will play in theaters from September 4, 2026,
with tickets available for sale. In celebration of the release, the
artist Matt Ferguson has released a new poster.

The new poster dons the words, "They travelled back to where 23rd century
man had never gone before. To a mad, crazy, outrageous time: 1986."
It provides a newer look to the 1986 movie while maintaining the
    franchise's aesthetics.

Ferguson is also known for his other Star Trek posters, including those
from Star Trek: The Motion Picture, Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan, and
Star Trek III: The Search for Spock.

Additionally, audiences and fans can also celebrate the 60th anniversary
of Star Trek. This will run throughout 2026 by Paramount and culminate on
Star Trek Day, which is celebrated on September 8. Recently, the new
trailer for Star Trek: Strange New Worlds Season 4 was released.

The movie is directed by the late Leonard Nimoy, who also co-wrote the
story alongside the late Harve Bennett. The story is based on the
creation of the late Gene Roddenberry's Star Trek universe. The synopsis
reads, "When a mysterious alien power threatens the atmosphere of Earth
in the 23rd century, Kirk and his crew must time travel back to 1986
San Francisco to save mankind. Exploring this strange new world, they
encounter punk rock, pizza and exact-change buses that are as alien as
anything in the far reaches of the galaxy."

The cast includes William Shatner, Nimoy, the late DeForest Kelley, the
late James Doohan, George Takei, Walter Koenig, the late Nichelle Nichols,
the late Jane Wyatt, Catherine Hicks, the late Mark Lenard, Robin Curtis,
    and the late Robert Ellenstein.

I've always enjoyed it's contrast between the world of Star Trek and
    our reality.

But that doesn't make it "silly". It makes it fun to watch.

And "awful" is not the same as "silly". I agree that the reboot films
    were a waste of celluloid.
