It was what was in the Echolist that I got...I'll have to remove it.
I think Dave was teasing you. ;) This echo is still in the echolist and is Asia Link. There are a person or two that also use it to do some testing, s of which often spawns additional discussions among the participants.
Carol pretty much just uses this for those connected to
her node for Fidonet traffic. Anyone can post here, of
course. But it's mostly used by us sysops. :)

I seriously doubt their abilities. I also doubt whatever apps will connect them to real people anyhow so catering to them is a complete waste of time and resourses.
cleaning up a quoted message from penguins that look like they've
escaped from the zoo can be a daunting task.

Yup, and no objection if others need it for testing too! The official testing echo is useless for that.
Yes, I often use it for testing. I had a bad crash while in the hospital due to
severe low sodium, something that has plagued me for decades. It caused something simular to a stroke.
Unfortunately, I was not aware of how much it messed up my head until later. I
broke the 1:275/100 node badly. I am looking at installing a completely new
box with Mystic and have part of that complete. It's win11 instead of XP.
The holdup is how to make the transition seamless for those who get mail from
me. There aren't many but in fairness, they deserve that.

Same here in that there are not too many. More on othernets than FIDO. A f months back, I migrated the hub over to a different machine. I let the connections know in advance which day I planned to be offline for a while an got the destination machine configured. On the day of, I took everything do migrated any waiting mail from the old machine to the new, and then brought new mailer instance online in place of the old one. Then I let the connecti know the system was back.
Took some thinking, and wasn't without a few small issues, but that was as seamless as I could think to make it.

But is another one just called TEST, and rarely used.
