Hi All...

subj: analog over cellular?
Since this is an audio-related issue, I thought I'd try asking here first.. I have POS (point of sale) device at my shop. For the most part, it operates over the internet for all transactions. But it features a dialup backup if for any reason a transaction cannot be completed over the internet. That backup was quite fine and very convenient in the past. NOW, I've replaced the landline with a cellular connection using a ZTE MF275R, but the dialup is failing to negotiate. The line "sounds" like a typical analog modem connection if I take a quick listen. Just wondering what issues could that configuration have as to why the modem negotiations keep failing.
Ciao!
