Less than 10mins ago 3 fast fighter jets flew over my house heading
roughly in the direction of Avalon.
Nothing on Flight Radar 24 but looked to be FA18's but really difficult
to say for sure, they were line astern at maybe 2000', low cloud at the moment and it looks like they were trying to stay under the cloud.
I'm approx 53km N of Avalon.
Going to airshow on Sat but I'm already getting a free show:-)

prolly on a photo shoot... apparently the US fighters and associated
tankers arrived yesterday evening from Japan.
According to the web site the F22 will be there, those things are insane.

I think there is only one RAAF F-35 at Avalon.. what puts them apart
from hornets is the body and wing area, the gap between the rear
stabilisers is also a bit of a giveaway, but it's only visable as per

bridge on Aus day, about a kilometre away...
Oh and they are much louder than a Hornet imho... :-) Enjoy your day!!!
