Despite what the report stated I think that the putting a shopping
centre on what was previously airport land contributed to the
fatalities,˙ the aircraft would of still crashed but with nothing to hit
It would have hit the very busy freeway instead.
the aircraft may have been able to make a crash landing with minimal
injuries,
Don't buy that given what would have been there instead.
saying that it may have landed on the freeway is utter nonsense when
the photos show that it was well past the freeway when it went down.
That's not what the dashcam footage shows or what the fella
in the video says heat wise.
I just had another look at the picture in the report then a map to get
my head around which way the aircraft took off, looks like he took off
towards the south which is unusual and why initially I thought he was
going the other direction away from the freeway.
Winds in that area are mostly north or west which is why it seems
unusual that the take off was to the south.
My older sisters in laws used to live right on the eastern end of the
east west runway on Fenacre St and there was viewing area where anyone
can see the end of the runway, when I was a teenager I used to go there
and watch the planes takeoff and land and it was very rare that they
took off to the south or east.
