An Emirates Airbus A380 collided with a 'large drone' on approach to Nice airport last week. The impact caused damage to the slats, the moving parts on the wing's leading edge. The plane landed safely at the airport.
Flight EK077 collided with the drone last Friday, according to Aviation Safety Network. The A380, with registration A6-EOM, came from Dubai. The return flight was canceled due to the incident. The airplane is being repaired in Nice.
The incident is reported by Aviation Safety Network and has not yet been confirmed by Emirates. The driver of the drone has not yet been found.
