    "The memorial park was established in the 1950's as part of the rebuilding of the neighbourhood devastated in the 1917 explosion. The Halifax Relief Commission built it as a public park forever in remembrance of the victims of the Halifax Explosion."

    I've not been to either myself:

    I thought it was a fascinating story and I have my plans for a week to 10 days Newfoundland, Peggy's Cove and visit St.Pierre et Miquelon ... check if it really is Europe just off the coast of Canada ... 8-)

    What else is there to do for a pensioner ... 8-)
