Did you at least remember to put your pants on? :D

There is a common warning here used with many commercial
    institutions..

    "No shirt..
    No Shoes..
    ..no Service"

My presence in Canada was mirrored by the highest moral standards.

However, when I was at the Calgary airport yesterdaqy for my return flight home, WestJet had a major-computer outage and could not handle any flights.

It's the dominant carrier in Calgary and everything operated, except WestJet.

Thousands of disgruntled passengers ... holiday flights to Maui ... flights to London, Amsterdam ... And staff were overwhelmed.

So, how long was the hold-up? You said "major.. outage". I have to wonder why their systems remain so fragile.

As we were flying KLM we weren't bothered, Air Canada also operated as normal.

It seemed the air conditioning system of their main data-warehouse overheated and they just took the whole system down. As Calgary is their main hub, most of the available gates were full of WestJet planes going nowhere, and the terminal full of patiently waiting passengers, waiting for upcoming events. In Europe there would have been fights ...
