• Python 3.10 Is Dead, Long Live Python 3.15

From Lawrence D?Oliveiro@3:633/10 to All on Fri Oct 9 23:57:16 2026
As one old version of Python gets retired, another new stable release
    arrives.

The one new significant feature in 3.11 (the oldest
currently-supported version) that I hadn?t figured out yet was
exception groups and corresponding ?except*? clauses in
    try-statements.

    I did actually find a use for a match-statement (introduced in 3.10
last year) in some code a few months ago.

Introduced in 3.10, not last year, but became minimum supported
    version last year.
