    Greetings All!

I am trying to get the dosfile variable working.. I had hoped that it would just shorten the name to 8+3. Imstead it assigned a random name??

Shortening was not a good option when high traffic echos were split into sub-echos. Once we had a lot of gaming echos in our region, my archive shows 7 of them or for the OS/2 sub-echos 11. The HARDWARE sub-echos started with the same 8 characters and the best option was a manual file naming.

As long as you don't need to touch the files directly that random naming should not be a problem because the software will find the correct files due to the EchoArea definition lines.

    Regards

    Kai
