Other than HotdogEd, do you know of any NNTP client for Android?

I only found PhoNews on the Play Store, but unfortunately it is not compatible with JamNNTPd -- only with more modern NNTP servers. It seems to work with Synchronet however.

This thing was found out about two years ago. A quote from my local area:

I made a quick modification to my servers, now they accept MODE READER command. I can now connect with Phonews.

I suspected you had made some change, ;-) because when connecting to your server(s) I can get the list of groups and subscribe to them (though I cannot get or read any messages).

However, Phonews was judged as crap anyways. :)

Ah, I didn't know that posting was free in older versions.

At least you can use the free version for reading... and if you want to write and remove the ads, it's not too expensive.

AFAIK there is no other alternative to HotdogEd (+NNTP provider) that is compatible with latest Android versions.

Samsung S23, I got this with Android 13, updated to 14 few days ago. So Hotdoged was installed in 13.
