I didn't think they'd try to scrimp on audio quality on vinyl, which is
most likely going to be listened to by an audiophile.

Not certain but I suspect that re-releases of albums that were originally
meant for vinyl may turn out better than those which were recorded for a
CD release, especially if they were digitally recorded and mastered.
