Academia has always been a haven for the Left. They don't need to actually produce anything. And once they get Tenure, they are set for life.
Then all of the Left pushed the "You need an education" narrative
through news, movies, TV, etc. They were untittingly helped by the companies who needed educated people for their jobs, and so required a college degree to even apply.

have a general question about something, but for serious tasks like "Evaluate my 400 page node.js project and help me split it into
modules," GPT-5 couldn't handle that. It had me replacing outdated statements with other outdated statements only to tell me later "These statements are outdated." (waste of time)
But Claude's Sonnet 4.5 showed me the newest JS techniques, explained
the differences, helped me implement them, and I haven't had any issues with my project.
I haven't used it for any actual programming (C++, etc) yet but I bet
that it will kick ass at that too. Surely it could teach kids better or even run a school better than George's unerlings.

That's pretty much what I was seeing. It's OK for something like "using my code base, write a simple program to count the widgets" and it would
do it pretty well. But I could still do it faster because I wouldn't
have had to review the resulting code.

the manuals and explaining things".

I've often said that most of us simply want to live our lives and enjoy them doing the things we want. So we don't bother learning about all these systems, trusting to the "experts" to run them, assuming that's
