The thing is, that movie from 2005 has fuck all do do with
anything Disney are doing - or not doing - with "Doctor Who" in
2024...
Try again!

No Dave, you try again!
Please explain the link between the 2005 HHGTTG movie and the
recent episodes of Doctor Who...
The plot and the feel!

Well I suppose as HHGTTG was written by a man who wrote and
script- edited episodes of Doctor Who in the 1970's, I could
accept "the feel" as a link. As I'm sure there have been a few similarities, especially back in the day. (Which we could
discuss if you wanted to dust off your old Tom Baker narrated
Shada VHS tape.) But I certainly don't get that "feel" between
the 2005 movie version of HHGTTG and RTD's four 2023 Doctor Who
'specials'!
So what about the whale flowing in space humour?

Hitchhikers Guide?" in the Doctor Who archives and they mentioned
THE ORIGINAL HHGTTG .....
Quote Something said in passing towards the end of Ghost Light by
the Doctor went something like:
'Who said "They never invite their ancestors around for dinner"?'
I don't have a tape of the episode to go back and check. It is
obviously a reference to an entry in the Hitchhikers' Guide. These
remarks go past so fast its hard to spot them. Can anyone verify
it, and perhaps know of more like it?
P.S. The other nice bit I remember was in the 25th anniversary
daleks story, where the Doctor and Ace leave a room with a
television going, on the BBC, with an announcer just starting to
introduce a new science-fiction series... End Quote
Anybody know if the line *IS* actually a reference to HHGTTG??
might have to check the radio scripts.
Well, that was of great assistance, "Yellow Beard Yadallee".
Please report the result after you check!!
