Sounds okay to me! But you could still post to Usenet from a yacht
    in Bermuda.

That is why he gone dark.

We all know Tim's gone dark as he lost access to Usenet because he dilly-dallied with sorting out a replacement way of posting to
Usenet... despite having two months notice!

speaking of which what is everyone/those remaining using for Usenet
now that google.groups has waved byebye?

I never used Google Groups, except for archive search purposes. I have a
free Eternal September account and use NewsTap on my iPhone and Thunderbird
on my PC with that account. I did pay ś1.99 for the full version of
    NewsTap.

I have a Samsung tablet but have not found a useful app or free web
interface for UseNet so at present if I’m on my Tab, I’m not on UseNet.

Any tips on Android UseNet access appreciated.

Most of us are using what we were using before Thursday!

The main Google Group's poster to RADW hasn't resurfaced yet...

Because h was too stupid to realise his challenges!

I don't know if Tim really understood what was going to happen... or
maybe he didn't think it actually would happen?!

Nothing informative to post .... but MUST post, anyway!!

Not even true. Google Groups continues - it’s just chosen to become more insular and to no longer carry UseNet groups. Sadly there’s no real organisation to Google Groups and so there are hundreds of tiny Doctor Who groups on there. You truly can’t see the wood for the trees - or even if there is a wood, and not just a thousand scattered trees.

Google Groups, as in its own groups, were always a mess. Groups
everywhere with no overall cohesion. I think Google will, in time,
wind those down... as I wouldn't think there was much $$ in it for
them. I suppose it'll depend on if their usage drops following the
    Usenet de-peering...

So, maybe, the 'there are hundreds of tiny Doctor Who groups on
there' are keeping Tim busy .... at least for the time being!

Or Tim is keeping THEM busy!

I doubt they'd be impressed with all of his number threads though...
