The Prisoner
“I am not a number; I am a free man.”
“I will not make any deals with you. I’ve resigned. I will not be
˙pushed, filed, stamped, indexed, briefed, debriefed, or numbered.
My life is my own.”
-˙ Patrick McGoohan
Can anyone imagine DW venturing close to the resonant statements
of The Prisoner? It was so far ahead of its time, that it remains
relevant. It could easily be about the present. Post-AI and all.
That not to say some episodes of the first series weren't
memorable and impactful. 'The long Game' springs to mind.
These days the 'magic realism' slant for the stories makes it
hard for DW to make a rational point. Still as they say, where
there's life....
Come on DW

I loved that show. It was on TV about 10 years ago, and recorded half
the episodes. Unfortunately missed the first. Fall Out was the best.
Completely bonkers ending.
you should've seen the original 1960's series
