Okay, my thoughts...
In the book "The Writer's Tale" RTD said the one thing he hated
was when people accused him of lazy writing. Well, I am going to
do exactly that. In fact I am going to say RTD has no creativity
whatsoever anymore and he is living on his past glories. He
started his second era on Doctor Who by having Jodie Whittaker's
Doctor regenerate in to David Tennant, brought back Donna Noble
for some episodes, and now he's had Ncuti Gatwa regenerate into
Billie Piper. Yes, we know the Tenth Doctor and Rose/Donna were
very popular among the masses and Doctor Who got great ratings
back then, but this is not taking the show forward. It's just
gimmick after gimmick. It's not clever, it shows a lack of fresh
ideas and it is lazy fucking writing!
RTD is an old man out of touch with the younger generation but
thinks he is trendy and cool and knows what that demographic
want from a TV show... he has no idea and is just an old fart
trying to stay relevant. During his second tenure on the show
all three of my children, all under 35, have stopped watching
Doctor Who. This is in one family! They love "Stranger Things",
"The Mandalorian", "Loki" (etc) so it's not like Sci-Fi/Fantasy
genre TV shows are not up their street. They used to love
watching Doctor Who, now they don't. They are not interested in
gimmicks. To keep them watching something in 2025 with the many
television channels and different streaming services out there
they need engaging stories. Not a TV show that can't move
forward and is too caught up with revisiting its past glories.
If three people in one family are switching the show off,
there's a problem!!!
What was the point of Omega? All that build up for two minutes!
That could have been any alien creature with a big claw. It
didn't need to be Omega at all.
What was the point of bringing The Rani back? All that build up
with Mrs Flood, and she's gone in under two episodes.
What about Belinda Chandra? A tough no-nonsense companion we
were told, a companion who wouldn't take any nonsense from the
Doctor. Then there's this magic date that she has to be back on
Earth for... or else!!! It then turns out she has to be back
home to mind her daughter. All that build up and she's basically
a stay at home Mum.
What about mavity? What's that all been about then? Since 2023!
Are we going to have another year of it? It's nonsense.
Why bring back Jodie Whittaker? I have no problem with her
Doctor but her scene was completely unnecessary and didn't
advance the story in any way. So it looks like she was just
brought back to give two fingers to the fans who didn't
like her.
Why bring Susan back? For what, a thirty second cameo? Yes, RTD,
a nice idea, but as always with you, poorly realised and
irrelevant.
I could go on... Ruby Sunday finding her real Mum that we don't
hear anymore about, the baby stolen by the Rani, Sutekh last
year... even the Belinda-Mundy Flynn thing. It's all idea after
idea, that might lead somewhere, often it doesn't. More
often than not it's just a waste of time. We get no properIt is from the woke degenerates. They put fancy wrapping paper around
character development at all. Everything is just a mess. Why
can't we just have a decent fucking story, with a beginning, a
middle, and an end. Is it too much to ask?

He never had any creativity to begin with. Everything he wrote
was based on 3 or 4 basic story briefs recycled over and over
again and that's it.
