I love the Doctor's face when his TARDIS works again. It's subtle, but
it's great.
The Doctor is fairly convincing as he teams up with the Master. He had
his own plan all along. Too bad the Time Lords anticipated such a move.
The Time Lords are still fairly powerful and intimidating in this era.
Later, they'll seem like a troupe of clowns.

The Claws of Axos - Part One
Is it a comet? No of course it's not... it's a weird looking
organic spaceship with strange looking tentacly aliens on board
heading towards Earth. Where it will find the Doctor and the UNIT
family in a meeting with government types at the Ministry of
Defence... with the pompous Minister, Mr Chinn, who will happily
take care of any UFO heading to Britain by ordering the military to
destroy it with a missile strike. Or as our dashing hero from
Gallifrey says, "Shoot first, ask questions later".
Part Two
The strange tentacly aliens change themselves into beautiful gold
looking humanoids offering Axonite to the people of Earth... which Mr
Chinn would happily keep solely for the British government.
Could it be, these nice friendly aliens are not so nice after all?
Clearly the British haven't heard of that old saying, "beware of
Axons bearing gifts".
Then there's that Devilish fella in black, running around the place hypnotising people into obeying him. What could he be up to I
wonder?

Now-a-days, if such a thing were to occur, I'm guessing The
Yanks would be trying to keep it to themselves.
The Yanks would just blow up the Axon spaceship!

No!! THAT could never happen, could it?? ;-P
Now, now... SPOILERS.
Clearly the British haven't heard of that old saying,
"beware of Axons bearing gifts".
Hmm!! Can't say I've heard of that myself!
It's a traditional saying... maybe it hasn't reached you
down under just yet.
Then there's that Devilish fella in black, running around

be up to I wonder?
Is that The Master .... or am I mis-remembering him from
another Episode??

Vampire from Space would be a giveaway.

Less is more.
The worst thing they ever did was expand the lore of Time Lords
and Gallifrey. As mysterious and intimidating figures in the
background the Time Lords worked way better. The more we saw of
them the sillier they became.

Possibly .... cept for all the regenerating that has gone on.
How many 'The Master' regenerations have we seen?? Oh, but

given a whole new regeneration cycle, wasn't he/she/it??
