I liked the song. The music enhances the lyrics. Mallard's guitar is
always catchy, and you held up your vocal end well.
The ending was cool; reminded me of "Cinnamon Girl".

Hi Will. I'd suggest sending a message directly to the JLA admin, but I
can
say based off of some of the discussions that I had earlier on the other issues that were mentioned it could be another cross post scenario.
do you know if the post was cross posted to other groups - maybe check

The admin team there are really good about responding to any problems
that are

a line from Dr. Seuss
That's absurd, Pendragon.
I lived on the actual Mulberry Drive in Columbus Georgia (look it up on
Google maps) in 1978 so the poem is completely original, based on events >>> in my life.
I've no doubt that you lived on a Mulberry Drive
The only similarity between my poem and the poem by Dr. Seuss is the
word "Mulberry."
HTH and HAND.
That simply isn't true
Of course it is, you're just being a troll, as usual.
The only thing similar to the poem you mentioned is the word "Mulberry." >>>
1) The similarity is not just one word, but a phrase. "On Mulberry
Drive" vs "On Mulberry Street."
Again, I actually lived on Mulberry Drive in 1978.
My use of "Mulberry Drive" is a part of my personal history.
Again, I have never questioned your claim of having lived on Mulberry
Drive.
"On" is one. "Mulberry" is two. And "Drive"/"Street" is three ("Drive"
and "Street" being synonyms of one syllable each).
Again, I actually lived on Mulberry Drive in 1978.
My poem is based on real events.
You're repeating yourself, Donkey.
The issue isn't whether you lived on Mulberry Drive; it's whether your
poem was constructed (however unintentionally) to resemble that of Dr.
Seuss' poem.
2) Your title is, to-all-intents-and-purposes, and abbreviated version
of Dr. Seuss':
"On Mulberry Drive" vs "And to Think that I Saw it on Mulberry Street."
In the poem the phrase is used differently from that other poem.
No, Donkey, it isn't. Both poems list different things that supposedly
happened on Mulberry Street/Mulberry Drive.
3) Both phrases are repeated as a refrain throughout the body of the
poems; yours at the head of various stanzas, Dr. Seuss' at the end.
For very different meaning and effect, though.
You're repeating yourself again, Donkey.
There is *no* difference in meaning or effect. If you see one, please
point it out to the class.
4) Both poems depict various things that happened "On Mulberry
Street/Drive."
Two VERY different streets, though.
It is obvious that you subconsciously picked up on the similarities
between the name of the Street/Drive, and fashioned your poem
accordingly.
There might be a touch of reference to the earlier poem, the French call
it an Homage.
An Homage is an *intentional* and *clearly identified* imitation of one
or more elements from an earlier work which is done as a tribute to the
original. For example: In the closing shot of "The Searchers," Ethan
Edwards (played by John Wayne) touches his elbow in the manner of Harry
Carey Sr., to whom the film is dedicated.
I do see your point, but:
I did live on Mulberry Drive in. Columbus Georgia in 1978, during a very >>> important time in my life.
I feel that I have the right to the location name Mulberry Drive, and
perhaps acknowledge Dr. Seuss in some way since he did make the word
Mulberry famous.
Again, the use of the word "Mulberry" is not the issue. The issue is
your repeated, refrain-like use of a phrase beginning with the word
"On," and ending with a synonym for "Street."
Any suggestions?
Anyone?
