From Season 5 To End MGM+ Sci-Fi Show for a Good Reason
-------------------------------------------------------
From, the sci-fi horror television series that originally premiered
in 2022, has been renewed for a fifth and final season.
Why is From ending with Season 5?
The series, which airs on MGM+ but originally premiered on Epix,
follows the happenings of a nightmarish town in the United States
that traps whoever enters it. The residents of the town try to
remain alive, but are plagued by nightmarish creatures at night as
they try to find a way out. The series is a popular one, and the
most-watched show on Amazon's MGM+. According to show creator John
Griffin, it was hard to end the show, but inevitably was the right
decision.
Speaking to The Hollywood Reporter, Griffin said that the show
always had five seasons in mind. "There was a fair amount of
soul-searching," Griffin said. "But we all came to the realization
that if we made that sixth season, it would be for us, because it's
just too hard to say goodbye."
Griffin also touched on the fact that Season 4 (which is set to
release on April 19, 2026) will begin to dive into the beginning of
the end of the show.
"In full transparency, five seasons was always the goal, but we
always wanted to let the story tell us when it was time to end,"
said Griffin. "When we reached the end of season three and the death
of Jim (Eion Bailey), it felt like we reached the end of the
beginning. Similarly, season four very naturally feels like the
beginning of the end. We've had the opportunity to tell this story
from the beginning the way we really wanted to tell it, with the
full support of Michael Wright and everybody over at MGM. It's rare
you get to tell this type of story and give it the life you feel it
needs, to let the story decide when it's time to end."
From stars Harold Perrineau (Lost) and an ensemble cast which
includes Catalina Sandino Moreno (Maria Full of Grace, The Affair),
Eion Bailey (Band of Brothers), Hannah Cheramy (Under Wraps, Van
Helsing), Simon Webster (Strays), Ricky He (The Good Doctor), Chloe
Van Landschoot (Charity, Skin), Corteon Moore (Utopia Falls), Pegah
Ghafoori (The Perfect Wedding), David Alpay (Castle Rock), Elizabeth
Saunders (Clarice), Avery Konrad (Honor Society), Scott McCord (East
of Middle West), Nathan D. Simmons (Diggstown, This Hour Has
22 Minutes), Kaelen Ohm (Hit & Run, Eumenides Falls), Angela Moore
(A Series of Unfortunate Events, Maid), A.J. Simmons (Reacher), Julia
Doyle (Astrid And Lilly Save The World), Robert Joy (CSI: NY), and
Samantha Brown (Y: The Last Man).
