Seems that "The Line", the futuristic arcology-style city of 9 Million

Its description read like something out of science fiction novel,
and that in the realm of science fiction it will remain.

Like Lynn, I had never heard of this particular project. Although I think
I had vaguely heard of some arcology project in Sa'udi Arabia, but not one named "The Line".
However, buildings of this nature do exist, even if not on quite such a scale; I do remember reading of single buildings containing whole
    communities in Finland.

It was part of the 'Neom' project, which has a lot more components than
The Line. Some small parts have been completed, but most are running way
over budget and schedule, and will almost certainly not come together
    in theway claimed.

The one to watch is Trojena, which is a winter sports venue (yes, in
middle of the desert - it's roofed). The country will be hosting the
2029 Asian Winter Games there, so it NEEDS to be completed.
