After an arduous workout, I watched:

    Nothing.

    What did you watch?

    The Simpsons
    36ABF06 (The Last Man Expanding)

In this case, it's safe to say "South Park already did it", and at least
the Simpsons take wasn't quite as bonkers, but it didn't wow me either.
It's probably good to make some social commentary about modern "weight
loss" drugs and their misuse/abuse - I've yet to see a great example
though. Somehow Marge's subplot with the hallucinated talking syringe
seemed the most grounded and poignant. One small thing that could have
helped this is to explain the transition from "attractive thin" to "ugly
thin" more - why, and even that, it's happening. It seemed very sudden.

Also, "couch gag chaos" is an apt name not just for the pinball game,
but for the bizarre opening sequence editing. These days it's a minor
miracle to get anything besides the clouds, but this was a baffling
mess. Why focus on the Homer-throws-rod, Bart-whips-around-corner part
    of all things??

    Meta:
Chief Wiggum notes that Ralph has some resemblance to Eddie (the hair?)
and seems to unknowingly imply he's Eddie's son

    Not meta but interesting:
A throwaway gag on tonight's new Family Guy (Hard Times at Adam West
High, PACX02) had Cleveland slightly thinner from using lotto scratcher winnings on a little bit of Ozempic (real brand name here). Funny, as
some of the initial thin Simpsons designs (Barney, Wiggum, etc.)
reminded me of surgically-thin Peter from way back in FG season 2 (He's
Too Sexy for His Fat, 2ACX10).

    And speaking of which:
I read this week that at least four Fox animation shows have been
renewed for a staggering four seasons each (isn't it usually 2?): The Simpsons, Family Guy, Bob's Burgers, and... American Dad!, which is
going to be returning to the Fox network after over a decade on TBS. I'm
just wondering when Bob's is going to return from *hiatus*.

NO HARD FEELINGS on the Hulus. A comedy starring Jennifer Lawrence as an Uber driver struggling to pay off the taxes on her Montauk home, which have skyrocketed due to gentrification. She responds to an ad from a set of richie-rich helicopter parents (Matthew Broderick is the dad) who are
concerned about their introvert son and want to hire a girl on the sly to date him and relieve him of his virginity to bring him out of his shell before he goes off to college. Typical rom-com silliness ensues. As you can probably guess, this was not my viewing choice for the evening. The blame lies with the girlfriend for this one.

I will note that I was surprised with the full frontal (and dorsal) nekkid nudity of Jennifer Lawrence in the skinny-dipping scene. And it wasn't just some fleeting glimpse. It was "behold, here I am, completely nekkid" nudity, which the internet assures me was not CGI or a body double.

OUT COME THE WOLVES on the Hulus. Missy Peregrym and her writer fianc‚ meet a Friend from her childhood at a cabin in the woods. The writer is doing a piece on hunting and wants to learn the ins and outs for his article. Things become tense when he finds out the Missy and Friend slept together once when they
were teens and jealousy ensues. The next day, while out on the hunt, writer
and Friend are surrounded and attacked by a pack of wolves. Writer is badly mauled. Friend leaves him to die and goes back to the cabin. Missy is understandably not cool with this and grabs her gear and goes out to find her man. Woman against nature ensues.

When was Montauk cheap? Also, isn't she the gentrifier?

I've liked her since Winter's Bone. My parents never got me an actress.

Is this in Canadian with subtitles or dubbed into English? How much
    Trump tariff did you pay?
