    It's for this reason I >NEVER< take the percentage option when it
    comes up on the terminal. Besides my math skills are good enough to
    calculate 10% then add whatever additional amount I want.

    OR, the doctor is the Uber driver. ;-)

    In some countries there are quite a few legal immigrants who were
    doctors, teachers, etc. in their original country, but do uber driving,
    pizza delievery, etc. because their qualifications simply don't count
    in their new country and/or re-qualification is expensive and time
    consuming.
