I watched PLAY DIRTY on the Prime with Mark Wahlberg starring as author
Richard Stark's long-running Parker character, who I didn't realize has been portrayed for decades in various films by Lee Marvin, Jim Brown, Robert
Duvall, Peter Coyote, Mel Gibson, Jason Statham, and now Mark Wahlberg.

This movie is a wholly original story, not based on any of the books. It's a heist movie but didn't feel like it was a standard retread of the genre. Some humor, lots of violence, a little nudity. I was entertained.

I've been watching Rome, the HBO series from nearly 20 years back, and
just finished it today (Oct 13). I have never seen it before, although I remember it being talked about back in the day. I don't know why I
didn't see it then - presumably, there was something else that appealed

Not yet. If I had to guess, the episode I watched most of on Sunday
night was a rerun of the season #2 finale.

It looks like next Sunday night is the season #3 premiere.

The X1 box refused to record it. This episode was

Hey, thanks for asking!

I finished watching THE DAIN CURSE, a 1978 miniseries starring James Coburn
as the detective. It took me a few days to get through it and I still don?t understand it anymore than I do THE BIG SLEEP, which my watching of got
TUBI to suggest I watch The Dain Curse.

Then with those two under my belt, the TUBI decided I must want to watch
Jack the Ripper movies. So it showed me Murder by Decree with James Mason
as Dr Watson, and then fired up a Michael Caine two parter called Jack the Ripper, and then? Something else with Jack the Ripper? And then a series
called Jack the Ripper? I fell asleep and it ran Jack the Ripper movies all night.

I also watched as much as I intend to of THE gLISTENER. It went downhill
fast after the first few episodes. They killed off cute cop and replaced
her with skanky cop. I ended up just watching episodes where major events
like character replacements happened and then the final finale. There was a
two year gap between seasons one and two which ended up causing people not
to be available and they change the whole series format. There are a
couple of Ian?s favorite redheads in it although neither of them is a
redhead.
