phase of the ceasefire deal, phase one, does not require Hamas to
disarm. And it's obvious to everyone--including Adam--that someone has
to exercise police authority in the destroyed land that is Gaza. And,
right now, Hamas, as the governing authority, is the logical and only
possible choice. As the linked article states:

Nahed Sheheiber, head of Gaza?s private truckers union, said Hamas was acting against gangs that had terrorized people in areas controlled by Israel.

?Those gangs looted aid and killed people under the protection of the (Israeli) occupation,? he told The Associated Press, saying they operated in so-called red zones where Israel had ordered people to evacuate. The Israeli military did not respond to a request for comment.

Even Trump acknowledges the necessity of maintaining public order:

Trump acknowledged that Hamas security officials had launched raids on ?gangs? in Gaza, which he said he initially approved. He compared Hamas?s policing to his own deployment of national guard troops to Washington as a measure designed to prevent crime.

In fact, as is always the case, it is Israel that has violated the
ceasefire by:

Only the terrorists and their supporters. There are apparently some Palestinians who loathe Hamas - as well they should - and a few who are
doing what they can to oppose Hamas. I would support Israel arming
*them* to use against Hamas if there is some reasonable chance that the weapons wouldn't be used against Israel when Hamas is wiped out. (I'd
let Israel make that determination.)

Do you know that Israel communicates bombings to the targets ahead of
time via phone and leaflets and has been doing so for years? I've never
heard of anyone else ever doing that in the history of warfare.

The ratio of civilians to fighters being killed is roughly 1:1 as far as
can be determined by Western analysts. In other words, for each fighter killed, only 1 civilian is killed. That is, by far, the least
"collateral damage" in any war that has been studied.

If Hamas had even a scrap of honour, they wouldn't be using their own
people as human shields, they'd come out and fight the IDF instead of
hiding behind their women, children and old people. But they don't even
WANT to spare their fellow Gazans; if they did, they'd let them hide in
the tunnels. But the tunnels are reserved for Hamas.

Hamas WANTS their own people to die, the more the better, because every civilian who dies can be used to evoke Western sympathy. That sympathy
in turn can be mobilized to get them goodies like recognition of their
wannabe country. And, of course, it gets turned into justifications of
yet more anti-Semitism.

Her attack isn't unjustified. It would be different if Israel was more
surgical in their attacks against Hamas, but that isn't their approach
so many civilians end up dead in their attacks and Rhino seems okay
with that.

There is never going to be "peace" there until all the religious
zealots are gotten rid of and all religions are banned worldwide.

Except that banning is a great way to make zealots.

But they can then be jailed ... until they "lose God". :-)
(Unlike today, where criminal scum are let out early becuase they claim
to have "found God".)
