Pop quiz: who said "The most urgent problem today is how to limit and discourage the over-fertility of the mentally and physically defective?"

    Adolf Hitler? Chairman Mao?

No. It was Margaret Sanger, founder of Planned Parenthood.

Most Americans know Planned Parenthood as the nation's largest provider of abortion, sex education, and birth control. But a new documentary lays bare the group's sinister origins.

Produced by Fieldwork Media and directed by David Coonradt, 'The 1916 Project': Exposing Planned Parenthood's Century Long Culture of Death brings Seth Gruber's book of the same name to life. The film analyzes how Sanger's radical advocacy for birth control, sterilization of the "unfit," and population control informed today's progressive movements.

Studying Sanger's own letters and journals, viewers get an inside look into the mind of Sanger from her first illegal birth control clinic in 1916 to launching the multi-billion enterprise Planned Parenthood as we know it.

"The film connects every dot," says Gruber. "Explaining the origins of third-trimester abortions, euthanasia, radical sex education, Critical Race Theory and the broader cultural turmoil from 1916 and beyond."

So far, more than 1,000 churches hosted screenings for the film across the country, sparking nationwide discussion.

The film's release on DailyWire+ brings an even larger audience of viewers seeking clarity on one of the most contentious issues in America.

Even abortion advocates want to distance themselves from Planned Parenthood's founder. In 2020, Planned Parenthood of Greater New York announced the
removal of Sanger's name from the Manhattan Health Center.

"The removal of Margaret Sanger's name from our building is both a necessary and overdue step to reckon with our legacy, and acknowledge Planned Parenthood's contributions to historical reproductive harm within communities of color," said Board Chair Karen Seltzer.

Prominent voices are rallying behind the film. Bestselling author and radio host Eric Metaxas calls Sanger's plans "too horrifying to believe" in revelations of Sanger's intentions, which he describes as the "literal extermination of races, all by way of the organization she founded."

Global evangelist and pro-life advocate Nick Vujicic adds, "I meet believers all around the world who want to know what has happened to America." He calls Seth's film and book "the definitive guide to how we lost our culture. If the Church awakens and ends abortion in America, The 1916 Project will be remembered as the spark that lit the fire."

It's amazing how many people watch Idiocracy and laugh

Nothing new here in your description, from the Daily Wire:

    https://www.dailywire.com/news/new-documentary-exposes-the-dark-legacy-of-planned-parenthood-founder-margaret-sanger

I was first aware of this stance from reading a letter to the
editor describing this when I was a kid, disturbing me: Abortion
means Margaret Sanger, the Ku Klux Klan, murder, genocide.

Funny but the same arguments are made by those who's stance
is to support the right to abortion: banning abortion is
    White Supremacy, Hitler, murder, genocide.

This gets awfully confusing if we give credit to
political denunciations as basically being true, what
do we do if we believe abortion should be safe, legal,
available? Certainly the Hitler, murder, genocide side
    is not safe.

But what if we are convinced by The Daily Wire that
Margaret Sanger is evil, how could we be expected
to favor the anti-abortion side, as that side is
the murder, Hitler, Mao, genocide side.

No book? Do I detect a decline in literacy at the Daily Wire?

Isn't it missing some dots, does it cover bans on abortion as
spearheaded by the Jewish anti-eugenics movement of the 1920s and later?
Bans that went so far as to ban Amniocentesis because it essentially
    is a eugenic test?

A book posing as a defender of the right to abortion, When Abortion Was
A Crime, is a history book but completely deletes any mention of
the anti-abortion movement led by Jewish activists, because that
would conflict with the book's priority to include no facts that
would put Jews in a bad light.

The terrible slogan "Abortion Is Murder" is perhaps of Jewish
origin, from the 1920s, in the anti-eugenics movement.

Perhaps with the same truthgiving spirit as the New York Times

If there are only left-wing abortion providers, there must be
right-wing providers too, but the left wants a monopoly on abortion.
The Left is incredibly fickle and can change their position on
abortion with the snap of a finger. So there's the grain of
truth in the 1916 Project's seeming statement that bans on abortion
may be supported by mainstream politicians in general.

Despite this I might see this movie, if it shows in a theater
or a free stream as I'm liberal enough to be capable of
listening to a perspective I disagree with.
