Despite Governor Gavin and Mayor Karen telling every camera they could find in the days after the fire that they pledged to slash the bureaucracy and red
tape and get people into rebuilt homes in record time.
Instead, the bureaucratic thicket at both the state and local levels has
gotten *worse* than it was before the fires. The dirty little secret is that the Democrats in California don't want those homes rebuilt. They want to give developers access to that land so they can build 'affordable density housing' on it, so they're throwing up every roadblock they can think of to frustrate people into just giving up and putting their land up for sale.
