everyone else who feels that use of effective investigative and frensic techniques and bringing charges upon meeting the burden of probable cause
and prosecution with sufficient evidence that a guilty vertdict is likely
and doing these things to advocate on behalf of an actual victim of a
violent crime while expecting perpetrators to behave like adults who do
not willfully cause harm to others and punishing them when they do not
and not excusing criminal behavior on the basis of perceived cultural differences can go jump in the lake.

Given some of the outfits I've seen at the Vancouver Polar Bear event
I can't imagine it (though to be fair the beaches down under are

Apologies for boasting twice on the same item but in our community at
least 10 years ago at the request of local Muslims they ran some women
only sessions (which I didn't object to) but didn't impose a dress
code.

There was not any protests on this and it was only 1 hour per week.

We had a request by the local Muslim community for womens' only
swimming at the pool some 15 years ago BUT it was open to ALL women
and they closed the observation bleachers for that period. Nor were
there restrictions on types of swimsuits. Nor was it "prime time"
(Can't remember but think it was 1-2 hours on a weekday morning or
something like that) It was certainly not as shown in the Australian
video nor restricted to Ramadan.

Most Canadians are fine with that sort of thing as long as Muslims do
NOT attempt to impose their ways on the rest of us though we
occasionally see frozen meat with a halal label at the grocery store
(which I avoid) I assume Safeway thinks they can make money at it
which I don't mind as long as they don't do this with more than one or
two items.

In fairness my community has about 15% Muslims almost entirely 1979
Iranian emigres. They are about as non-radical as it gets and keep a
fairly low profile. In fact in about 2 hours I will be going to a
dentist who is one of them.
