A hit Peacock TV show has been renewed for a third season,
bringing back one of its most popular shows with one big
change.

Twisted Metal, the live-action adaptation of the PlayStation
video game franchise, is back for Season 3. According to a
new report from Deadline, Peacock has renewed the show for a
third season. There is one big change, though, and that's
that David Reed will be taking over as showrunner and
executive producer for the series.

Michael Jonathan Smith was serving as showrunner for its
first two seasons, but will be exiting the series, having
"concluded his involvement as showrunner and executive
producer," according to Peacock.

Currently, no release information for Twisted Metal Season 3
is available. It's unclear if the show will be adding any new
cast members, either, so fans will have to wait for more
information. The Twisted Metal TV series originally debuted in
July 2023, and has become one of Peacock's most popular shows.

After its premiere, the show become one of Peacock's
"most-binged" shows, and is widely positively. Season 2 was
equally successful, with Peacock noting the series "registered
993 million minutes viewed" on the service, and was their
"second highest-reaching original returning scripted season."

The series follows the story of a John Doe (played by Anthony
Mackie), a milkman with amenesia who goes on a mission to
traverse the post-apocalyptic United States. Alongside Mackie,
Twisted Metal also stars Stephanie Beatriz, Joe Seanoa, Will
Arnett, Thomas Haden Church, Anthony Carrigan, and more.
