• ABC News Gives Gavin Newsom a Half-Hour Long Tongue Bath

Gavin Newsom recently granted Jonathan Karl of ABC News a 30-minute long sit-down interview. Here's a list of all the issues that a journalist *could* ask Newsom about when given the opportunity to do a long-form interview with him:

    (1) The only pipeline in California that transports oil from the south to the north part of the state is about to shut itself down due to a lack of oil in the system because two out of the eight remaining refineries in the state are closing shop and leaving, which is a direct result of the massive regulatory burden and taxes and fees the Democrats led by Newsom have imposed with their 'climate change' hysteria. According to industry experts and studies out of Stanford and USC, this will result in $8-$10/gallon gas prices across California in 2026.

    (2) California has the most homeless vagrants of any state in America.

    (3) California has the highest poverty rate in the nation.

    (4) California has the most people on Medicaid as a percentage of population
    in the nation.

    (5) California has the highest gas prices in the nation.

    (6) California has the highest electricity prices in the nation.

    (7) California has the highest cost of living in the nation.

    (8) California has the highest housing prices in the nation.

    (9) California has the highest welfare rate in the nation.

    (10) California has the highest number of illegal aliens in the nation, which costs the state $35 billion/year.

    (11) California has the highest sales tax in the nation.

    (12) California has the highest gas tax in the nation.

    (13) California has tan inflation rate that 20% higher than the rest of the nation.

    (14) The $24 billion in homeless that disappeared without a trace.

    (15) The $35 billion in COVID unemployment funds that either disappeared without a trace or were paid to international criminal gangs and fraudsters
due to negligence at the state unemployment agency.

    (16) The $17 billion in high-speed rail funds that disappeared without a
    trace.

    (17) California is ranked #1 on the list of states with the worst business climate.

    (18) California has the worst education outcomes for students of all ages.

    (19) California is spending a quarter-billion dollars on a special election to gerrymander the state's 40% Republican-voting population out of existence
while at the same time pleading poverty and lack of funds to implement voter-approved measures to crack down on crime.

    (20) The abject failure and appalling negligence of the state and local governments that lead to the worst wildfire disaster in California history
this year, coupled with Newsom's personal pledge to bulldoze the red tape and bureaucracy to get people back in their homes in record time. A promise that has not only gone unfulfilled, but which has seen the opposite happen: the bureaucracy has only become even more impenetrable than before.

That's what you *could* ask Newsom about. I'll give you one guess how many of those things Karl actually did ask Newsom about. If you said zero, you win the prize. Instead Karl let Newsom rant for a half-hour about Trump, in between making admiring comments about his performance as governor of a state that's literally disintegrating before our eyes.

Trump had nothing to do with *any* of those 20 issues I listed above. Gavin Newsom and his Democrat cronies in the Assembly are intimately responsible for all of them. Yet ABC News had not one question for him on any of it. The only thing ABC News was concerned about was making sure Newsom got 30 minutes of airtime to bitch about Trump.

Is ABC News actually news anymore?
