    I watched:

    WE ARE THE 80'S

    WE ARE THE 80'S

    WE ARE THE 80'S

SAVED BY THE BELL: THE COLLEGE YEARS:
"A Thanksgiving Story". The gang, forced to abandon their holiday plans after their car breaks down, helps Leslie and Screech repair Thanksgiving dinner
for a group of inner-city kids because Screech is an idiot and fucked up. Luckily, after their RA(?) gets humiliated on TV by Marv Albert for serving turkey jerky to orphans, a trio of people from other NBC shows arrive with food. Hey, it's that kid from Sea Quest, Marsha Warfield, and the sidekick
    from Blossom!

    THE BRADY BUNCH:
"The Un-Underground Movie". Greg goes Hollywood while making a Thanksgiving movie on location in the Brady backyard, until the whole family squabbles
over the script and casting of his epic Pilgrim turkey.

    NEWHART:
"Don't Rain on My Parade". Joanna learns she has to cook 14 turkeys for
parade workers Dick was tricked into feeding. Hey, it's the crying native american!

    CHEERS:
"Thanksgiving Orphans". Norm's wife, Vera, appears---sort of---when the gang gathers at Carla's house for Thanksgiving. The foodfest turns into a frenetic food fight when Norm's turkey, a.k.a. ?birdzilla,? takes forever to cook and nerves become frayed.

    MASH:
"The Yalu Brick Road". Hawkeye and B.J. get lost rushing antibiotics back to camp, but they pick up a North Korean prisoner on the way. Meanwhile, most of the 4077th has come down with food poisoning from Klinger's Thanksgiving turkey.

    WKRP IN CINCINNATI:
"Turkeys Away". Carlson thinks up a wacko Thanksgiving promotional gimmick.

    LOVE BOAT:
    Happy Thanksgiving!
? "Tony's Family". After discovering Agarn, the ship's engineer, cannot take Thanksgiving off because the other engineer called in sick, the crew
decide to let his family join him on the ship. Apparently not having
learned their lesson the first time, they sneak them aboard and board them
in their quarters. As if things weren't bad enough, Agarn's Italian family
came straight from the "immigrant" central casting office and included his wife, grandparents who didn't speak English, six children, and a chicken.
Yes, a chicken! After several wacky hi-jinks, they get busted because the chicken got out of the room while the family was cooking up enough
spaghetti and sauce to feed an army in Julie's cabin and was seen by the Captain. Rather than deport them (heh), he makes Agarn work as a means to
pay for his family's passage. I wonder why the rest of the family didn't
    pitch in.
? "The Minister and the Stripper".Minister Peter Graves falls in love with
a stripper, much to the dissaproval of Lucy's judgemental best friend who
is in his congregation. Wilber, her husband with a gambling problem,
however, couldn't care less, pointing out how she's acting like a pharasee
and ends up wining the jackpot with the silver dollar Agarn's kid gave him
and gives the winnings to him, who in turn uses the money to pay for his family's trip. I am pretty sure one cannot give one's gambling earnings to
a young minor and they never did address Wilbur's gambling problem.
? "Her own Two Feet". The Minstral enables his wife to deny her blindness.
I'd think one could shill Depends diapers while blind, right?

    LIFE, LIBERTY & LEVIN:
    Democratic party, Mamdani, Socialist

    KRAPOPOLIS:
"The Anniversary Present". Shlub has to improvise a gift for Deliria after forgetting their anniversary; Tyrannis and Stupendous try to cheer up Hippocampus after a break-up.

I still have access only to YouTube, so I watched more
documentaries. I pondered the ancient natives of America.

I also stumbled over an AI slop channel by accident. More
and more of these are crowding the prehistory space, and
it's hurting the real content makers. Unless YouTube
cracks down on AI channels, which it doesn't seem
inclined to do, the age of the professional YouTuber may
    be ending already.

I finished 'The Starlost'. It was losing the plot. There were all
kinds of departments still operating since The Accident. An
ambulance/medical service, a police force, various high tech enclaves,
all of who knew the Ark was on a collision course and were saying "Oh,
we can't (read "won't") alter the ship's course!" And the Rachel
character was getting shoved more and more into the background.

The 70s sci-fi show? I've heard the name, but I've never seen a single episode. For whatever reason, they weren't showing reruns on TV when I
was a kid. I'm surprised KTEH (local PBS) never bothered to show it. Or
at least if they did, I didn't know.

    I watched:

Willy's Wonderland (4K disc) 2021 movie starring Nicolas Cage as a man
who is tricked into working at an abandoned "Chucky Cheese" style
abandoned restaurant where the animatronic characters come to life each
    night and murder people.

Five Nights at Freddy's (4K disc) 2023 movie starring Josh Hutcherson as
a man who is tricked into working at an abandoned "Chucky Cheese" style abandoned restaurant where the animatronic characters come to life each
    night and murder people.

It - Welcome to Derry (HBO) I binged the first 5 episodes of this "It"
prequel series set in the 1960s. SPOILERS!!

"The Pilot" Andy Muschietti who directed the 2017 and 2019 "It" movies, directed the first two episodes of the series. First up, the pilot
opens with a young boy trying to escape Derry, but It has other ideas
about the boy escaping. One thing leads to another and the boy winds up
dead in a very gruesome and disturbing way. There's then a time jump of
a few months and the pilot follows a group of young kids who are looking
into what happened to their missing friend. Much like the movie they
slowly come together and the realization that they are all being stalked
by "It." The episode ends with the kids all going to watch a movie
where It proceeds to come out of the screen and massacre them. The only survivor is a girl who emerges from the screening room, drenched in the
blood of her young friends with the severed arm of one of them still
holding her hand. Roll credits. Well, I guess *those* kids won't be
    stopping It...

Episodes 2 through 5 follows the girl and several other characters who
are dealing with It. Following the deaths the police decide to railroad
an innocent man for the murders. He gets sent to "Shawshank" for a
while but is eventually released on bail. The surviving girl knows he
didn't do it, but keeps her mouth shut for fear she will be sent to a psychiatric hospital if she tells the truth. The accused man's
daughter, the surviving girl, and a couple of other kids become the new
kid leads of the series as they try to stop It.

The series also focuses on the U.S. military, which *knows* It exists.
This was a twist I did not see coming. The highest ranking military
officer survived It when he was a kid, and now he wants to harness the
power to use against the Soviets. A lot of the knowledge comes from a
local Native American tribe that lives nearby and for hundreds of years
having been keeping guard and making sure It doesn't escape Derry. Two
of the main military characters the show follows are "Dick Hallorann"
the character from "The Shining" who uses his Shining ability to track
It. And another officer who also has some latent Shining ability, and
his son is part of the kid group fighting It. Although the father and
son have no idea what each is doing or that they are hunting the same
    monster.

Overall the series is pretty good.

I can?t watch it that fast because the burning onion of stupidity is
    stinging my eyes.

I?ve watched five episodes so far. Ignoring the pilot when they go on the
run, every episode finds them in a new location with people that are
initially hostile. However, by the end of the episode, they?ve made friends with the locals and find themselves in a safe place With food and comfort.

And then inexplicably they move on. Why? Why at the very least don?t they
use one of these safe Havens as a base camp? I realize the answers are
?because it?s episodic television? and ?because they?re ripping off The Fugitive? But still. Why don?t they live on the bridge? Why don?t they
live on the back up bridge? Why don?t they live in Med Bay which is full of
the engineers who built the ark and put themselves in cryosleep and try and wake one up once in a while?

And every place has the friendly computer. Why don?t they ask the friendly computer which of the engineers to wake up? Why don?t they ask the friendly computer how to hook up the engines to the backup bridge controls? And
frankly, if they can?t do that they may as well give up right now.

Also pretty much every episode seems to be a rip off of Star Trek. I just watched the Miri rip off with immortal children.

The one with John Colicos and Barry Morse was written by Ursula K. Le Guin.

Thanks for the links. But going out of my way to watch a low budget derivative sci-fi TV show from the early 70s, that looks like the
producers spent a buck 75 per episode, and demanded change back...That's

The 70s sci-fi show? I've heard the name, but I've never seen a single
episode. For whatever reason, they weren't showing reruns on TV when I
was a kid. I'm surprised KTEH (local PBS) never bothered to show it. Or >>> at least if they did, I didn't know.

Thanks for the links. But going out of my way to watch a low budget derivative sci-fi TV show from the early 70s, that looks like the
producers spent a buck 75 per episode, and demanded change back...That's
    OK, I'm good.

Here?s a list of all the Starlost episodes that are worth watching if you
    don?t wanna try them all:

Besides, I still haven't gotten around to watching my DVD
set of "Logan's Run." Let me get that out of the way first. ;-)

From memory, here?s a list of all the watchable Logan?s run episodes:

    I watched:

Willy's Wonderland (4K disc) 2021 movie starring Nicolas Cage as a man
who is tricked into working at an abandoned "Chucky Cheese" style
abandoned restaurant where the animatronic characters come to life each
    night and murder people.

Loved this movie enough that I watched it a couple of times. He's just
so unconcerned about the things that come out at night. So long as he
gets his energy drinks and time with the pinball machine all is right
    with the world.

Five Nights at Freddy's (4K disc) 2023 movie starring Josh Hutcherson as >>> a man who is tricked into working at an abandoned "Chucky Cheese" style
abandoned restaurant where the animatronic characters come to life each
    night and murder people.

I also saw this one but only once. Not a bad story but it didn't
engage me in the same way.

This was my second time watching both. I remembered FNAF being a lot better, but both movies turned into background noise. At least I'm
caught up for the upcoming sequel.

It - Welcome to Derry (HBO) I binged the first 5 episodes of this "It"
prequel series set in the 1960s. SPOILERS!!

Overall the series is pretty good.

Glad you are enjoying it. I never saw the first series and probably
    won't see this one either.

I watched TRACKER and that's it other than some Youtube. Spent most of
the last few days either watching some football or playing my current
    game, NO MAN'S SKY.

    What did you watch?

I still have access only to YouTube, so I watched more
documentaries. I pondered the ancient natives of America.

I also stumbled over an AI slop channel by accident. More
and more of these are crowding the prehistory space, and
it's hurting the real content makers. Unless YouTube
cracks down on AI channels, which it doesn't seem

Are you referring to the AI script reading or the visual aspect?

That one was all AI. An AI wrote the rambling script,
another read it, and another generated the images. If a

Cool I may well ask for that After I?ve finished watching, thanks.

I?ve made it up to the first Walter Koenig episode. I also went looking for torrents because the episodes on Plex look like they were shot through a

So it turns out all you have to do is yell into the air ?I have an injured person I need help? and the emergency spaceship zooms to your location,
which hopefully is near an airlock and they come in and help you. And
there are lots of emergency spaceships. Wouldn?t everybody know about this?

And there?s an astronomy department that not only can fire up the reactors (which we?ve seen were destroyed) but they can fly the arc around for fun
and do so so why are they still locked on course with a Solar star? And at
the end of the episode, they just forget about it.

And they started sometimes wearing space suits and everywhere you could go outside, there?s a locker with helmets that fit the space suits but then in
the next episode they?re back in their original clothes and then the next episode they?re wearing non-spacesuit ark uniform uniforms and the next
episode they?re back in their original clothes and in the next episode
they?re wearing space suits again. Where are they keeping their outfits? It would be nice if somebody had least had a duffel bag.

And then the finale. OMG. Devon quits the team and wanders off while Garth
and Rachel get stuck in an elevator for the entire episode. And don?t even
    fool around.
Meanwhile, Garth runs right into one of the space police who are all over
and monitor everything and work with other police agencies That they?ve
never met in person and help each other solve each other?s crimes. And they recruit Devon to join them.

And Walter Koenig turns out to be evil (like that?s a surprise) and is sentenced by his home world to be stuck on the Ark and wander around and be evil. And he can start the reactors and fly the Ark around as well. But
even though it means he?s just doomed himself to Solar star death he
doesn?t bother to change the course of the thing.

Supposedly there are three unproduced scripts. But one is just the original pilot by Harlan Ellison. And the other two seem to exist only as titles and rumors.

I can?t watch it that fast because the burning onion of stupidity is
    stinging my eyes.

It was a screencapping project for me so I could partially zone out the
stupidity but my defenses were weakening.

Every time they showed the ark, I wanted to screen grab it in case I build >> a 3-D model of it someday but that?s not ever gonna happen

There was an episode where the Ark model was used in an episode inside
the Ark. I could get you some screen shots if you want.

    That was cool.

I finished 'The Starlost'. It was losing the plot.

    Boy howdy did it ever

    There were all
kinds of departments still operating since The Accident. An
ambulance/medical service, a police force, various high tech enclaves, >>>>>> all of who knew the Ark was on a collision course and were saying "Oh, >>>>>> we can't (read "won't") alter the ship's course!" And the Rachel
character was getting shoved more and more into the background.

And at the end of the episode, they just forget about it.

And they started sometimes wearing space suits and everywhere you could go outside, there?s a locker with helmets that fit the space suits but then in the next episode they?re back in their original clothes and then the next episode they?re wearing non-spacesuit ark uniform uniforms and the next episode they?re back in their original clothes and in the next episode they?re wearing space suits again. Where are they keeping their outfits? It would be nice if somebody had least had a duffel bag.

And then the finale. OMG. Devon quits the team and wanders off while Garth and Rachel get stuck in an elevator for the entire episode. And don?t even fool around.

But

According to IMDb there were two written but not filmed episodes.

Speaking of which, I now have both Ben Bova's 'The Starcrossed' (with
the pages in the correct order now) and the Ellison graphic novel based
on the original pilot. I should get to read them in the next few weeks.

    That was cool.

Speaking of which, again, I have 33 bitmap screencaps of the Ark from
episode 14. Some of the model inside with the Ark in the episode and
some of the "outside" from act breaks, opening and ending credits. They
are 640x480 from DVD from the 2008 "digital restoration" release. If
you still want those let me know how we're going to get them to you. I
can upload them to an image host and post a link to the gallery but I'd
have to convert the BMPs to PNG or JPG as online image hosts generally
don't allow BMP uploads. If you want the Bitmaps we'll need another
    way. Each is 1.2meg.
