This is actuallY the first episode I've watched as all
the other times I just flipped through.
The actor Eric Danes (he was the Captain in "The Last Ship" and
moved up the ranks...) has a very real life battle with
Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis, aka ALS, aka Lou Gehrig's
disease, which he went public with earlier this year and
has been devastating him.
In this show's episode, he guest stars as a patient with,
yes, ALS. Oh, and he's an FDNY firefighter so all the
members of his station house and lots of others are involved.
All I'll say is it is very well done and I only wish it
wasn't realistic.
Well worth pulling up even (like me..) you haven't been
watching the show
