Stephen Graham & Erin Doherty Return

Hulu has shared the official trailer for A Thousand Blows Season 2,
the next installment of the acclaimed Victorian drama led by
Stephen Graham, Erin Doherty, and Malachi Kirby. This comes after
Graham and Doherty recently won major Emmy Awards for their
performances in Netflix's Adolescence. The show will be available
for streaming on January 9, 2026, in the U.S. and internationally
on Disney+.

"Inspired by the true-life stories of a group of characters
battling for survival in the brutal East End of London in the
1880s. One year later. Hezekiah's Moscow is a shadow of the man he
once was, whilst Sugar Goodson is estranged from his family and
drinking himself to death. Just as Wapping is about to sigh its
last breath, Mary Carr bursts back into town with her loyal second,
Alice Diamond," reads the Season 2 synopsis. "In Mary's absence,
Eliza Moody's failed reign as Queen has seen her exiled, whilst
Indigo Jeremy has taken back control of the Elephants. Mary is back
to reassemble the Forty Elephants and reclaim her crown. She sobers
Sugar up; she has a use for him yet, and forms a reluctant alliance
with Hezekiah to take down Indigo Jeremy once and for all. As
always, Mary has a plan. And this time it's riskier than ever."

What happens in the A Thousand Blows Season 2 trailer?
The video shows Doherty's Mary Carr, who intends to bring back her
all-female crime syndicate, the Forty Elephants, as Season 2 ushers
in the dawn of a new era. It also highlights the return of Graham's
Sugar Goodson, who will be stepping back into the boxing ring after
deciding to leave the boxing pub to his brother. The trailer also
teases Hezekiah's desire for revenge.

A Thousand Blows is written and executive-produced by Peaky Blinders
creator Steven Knight. Season 2 will also feature returning cast
members James Nelson-Joyce as Edward "Treacle" Goodson, Darci Shaw
as Alice Diamond, Hannah Walters as Eliza Moody, Nadia Albina as
Verity Ross, Morgan Hilaire as Esme Long, Jemma Carlton as Belle
Downer, Caoilfhionn Dunne as Anne Glover, Jason Tobin as Mr. Lao,
Susan Lynch as Jane Carr, Daniel Mays as William 'Punch' Lewis, Gary
Lewis as Jack Mac, Aliyah Odoffin as Victoria Davies, and Robert
Glenister as Indigo Jeremy. They will be joined by new cast members
Ned Dennehy as Bull Jeremy and Catherine McCormack as Sophie Lyons.

In addition to leading the cast, Graham also serves as an executive
producer alongside Hannah Walters, Damian Keogh, Kate Lewis, Tom
Miller, Sam Myer, and David Olusoga. It is produced by Miller,
Barrington Robinson, and Jo Johnson. The first season received a
Certified Fresh rating of 88% on Rotten Tomatoes, based on 43
reviews.
