Well, they won't be getting $40, but the Ellison family and evil Arab >>>sheiks have raised the bid to $30, and they are offering cash, not
    equity (junk bonds).

The board is recommending shareholders reject Ellison's offer.

    Will Ellison raise the bid?

Another news story said that Ellison's all-cash offer includes $40
billion in a trust the family holds but it's a REVOCABLE trust, so the >promised cash isn't necessarily there.

Warner Bros Discovery still hasn't sold itself to Netflix. It would
really appreciate it if the Ellisons would raise their bid by a whole
lot, hence telling Colbert he couldn't have a specific guest on air and
Bari Weiss doing pro-Trump news coverage.

    Hahahahahaha

The unmitigated greed! Where are James Garner and Jonathan Pryce when
    you need them?

Larry Ellison offered $31 a share for the whole company, which sounds
like the previously announced split won't happen. Netflix was buying the studio, HBO, and not much else. Netflix has wisely stepped back.

Ellison isn't sitting on this cash; no one is. He's getting some from
his Middle Eastern oil buddies. Henry Kravis cannot float this much juni
    bond equity.

Netflix wanted to stop producing theater-worthy movies to keep
subscribers at home, watching more tv.
