It's like some 8 ft. guy standing under a basketball goal and batting
away all the balls.
And with hockey especially the puck moves so fast and is so small it's almost impossible to keep up with what the hell's going on.

expand into more of the US but they found that a lot of Americans
couldn't follow the puck so they started using bright orange pucks; I
think they even did some sort of primitive animation to show the
movement of the puck. It didn't really win over audiences as I
understand it. Yet new American hockey teams *did* get created so there
must be some niche markets for it.
