I remember the last time that happened. It was so momentuous that they
made a movie about it starring Karl Malden as the coach; it was called "Miracle on Ice". Congratulations, America!

Maybe they should just get rid of the goalies, lol.

And with hockey especially the puck moves so fast and is so small it's

For a while, they tried electronically "tracing" the puck for TV
viewers. It was interesting, but (imo) lost the feel of the game --
which, it must be said, is substantially a slapdash affair.

And, yeah, I've often wondered what hockey's rule-book must say about a goalie's silhouette acreage.

Yeah they started the Predators hockey team in Nashville in 1997 and
the Nashville SC in 2016, both seem to be thriving with no shortage of
fan attendance -- so far anyway. I wouldn't have bet on it since the
city has a habit of getting all excited when some major league sports franchise gets started, then gradually abandoning it. Maybe the minor
league baseball Sounds will get into the big league someday when it
expands, especially since the city has grown so much in the past decade.

And having a successful team always helps, the Titans currently have
the worst record in the NFL. Mike Vrabel did the best he could with
what he had for several years before he was fired and then hired by the Patriots, and even took them to the Super Bowl.
