It's a pretty key aspect of Britain's monarchy that the King (or Queen Regnant) is the head of the Church of England. To have the monarch
decline to speak at Easter seems like a pretty serious abrogation of his
duty. I know the pundits are making a lot of noise about this but there
is apparently NO precedent being broken: some years, he would give an
address at Easter and sometimes not. It was the same during his mother's reign.
