• In praise of the revolver

This video is from a man saying he's retired CIA talking about the
merits of the revolver. Knowing little about guns, I've always thought
    the simpler, the better.

Should everyone use a revolver as their main handgun?

For most people it would likely be a decent choice. Not good for the
LEO who might need more shots than a revolver has.

I remember someone posting about a rather unusual revolver with respect
to the recent series Westworld. Instead of a single ring of 5 or 6
bullets, it had THREE rings of 6 bullets each for a total of 18 rounds.
That's more than the capacity of standard-sized magazines for many
modern semi-automatic pistols. I have no idea if these are still made or
if this is strictly a museum piece but if there was a demand for such
pistols, I imagine someone would make them.

Do you mean something like this 20 shot revolver?

It was definitely similar but not the same.

Revolvers have the advantage of being nearly impossible to jam, but firearms tech has come a long way now to the point where semi-autos have pretty much evened those stats and semi-autos have the advantage of being able to fire
more than twice as many rounds without a reload and can also accept
suppressors (silencers to those who have received their firearms knowledge
    from Hollywood).
