    Peacock's Cary Elwes Crime TV Show M.I.A. Gets Thrilling Trailer

    Peacock has shared the official trailer and key art poster for M.I.A.,
    its newest crime drama thriller featuring The Princess Bride vet Cary
    Elwes. The nine-episode series is scheduled to debut starting on
    May 7, 2026, exclusively on Peacock.

    "Restless in the Florida Keys, Etta Tiger Jonze dreams of a life in
    Miami's glittering, sub-tropical kingdom. But when her family's
    drug-running business shatters in tragedy, Etta embarks on a dangerous
    journey through Miami's neon-lit underbelly that will define who she
    is and what she's ultimately capable of," reads the official synopsis.

    What happens in the M.I.A. trailer?
    The video introduces a young woman who becomes the only survivor of an
    attack on her family. After taking on a new identity, she plans her
    revenge against the twelve men responsible for her family's death. The
    trailer highlights her vengeful journey, teasing some of the show's
    suspense-filled sequences. It features Elwes as a detective, who's
    trying to find her before the wrong people get to her first.

    M.I.A. is created, written, and executive-produced by Bill Dubuque
    (Ozark). The ensemble cast also includes Shannon Gisela, Danay Garcia,
    Brittany Adebumola, Dylan Jackson, Alberto Guerra, Maurice Compte,
    Gerardo Celasco, and Marta Milans, with Edward James Olmos, Billy
    Burke, Sonia Braga, Loretta Devine, Tovah Feldshuh, Tyler Perez, Paul
    Ben-Victor, and David Denman?set as guest stars.

    Executive producers are showrunner Karen Campbell and director Alethea
    Jones. The show is also directed by Gwyneth Horder-Payton, Marizee
    Almas, Ben Semanoff, and John Dahl, with Campbell, Debra Moore Munoz,
    David Paul Francis, Jeff Augustin, Christina Pina, and Felicia Hilario
    also part of the writing line-up. It is a production by MRC.
