Ditto - but I'm comforted by the fact that my 4 year old granddaughter
will probably see the 22nd century. (queue the Star Trek theme here)
My side of the family tend not to get heart attacks so tend to live
longer than my in-laws though my mother in law in 90. (Having survived
heart problems earlier in her life)

We're skipping over the Age of Enlightenment?

That comes *after* the Dark Ages. As I recall, the Dark Ages lasted
roughly a millenium. Here's hoping it's a bit shorter this time around....

And hopefully we won't need a Leibowitz with his Canticle to see us
    through it.
