[OK, I have no idea why thiat was the description!]

Filmation was THE BEST back in the 70s with these live-action shows.
Their live-action sci-fi staples (Space Academy, Jason of Star Command,
ARK II) and the Shazam/Isis Power-Hour were all about quality content.
What really made me a fan as a kid was these shows didn't pander. The
scripts were smart and didn't use cheap gimmicks or juvenile humor.
Each of those shows treated the child audience like thinking human beings--they had important themes, real drama, high-stakes (as noted in
the video) and it was ALWAYS taken seriously. Basically, these were
real, quality TV shows with action, drama, and morality--just aimed at
kids. Filmation has an unrivalled history of producing such high-
quality content for kids with both Fat Albert and Star Trek: the
Animated Series having scripts penned by highly acclaimed writers and
winning Emmys. Great scripts, real drama & action, morality and ethics
were integrated into nearly every episode, and ultimately a positive
view of the future. Compared to Jabberjaw, Hong Kong Fooey, and Fraidy
Cat, these Filmation shows were like Shakespeare.
