I watched a little more Upload. S4 is definitely weaker. I don't think
the writers had a plan for the show lasting this long.

one. The smaller "scope" of the first one worked in its favor, but this
one is forced to open the scope more to justify the sequel and I didn't
care for that much.
ÿÿ However, I appreciate that this one seems to pretty definitively
wrap this up, so I am very much hoping that means we get spared a third movie. (Which is good as it looks like the second one didn't do that
well in the theaters, so they probably don't want to make a third one.)
ÿÿ Things I did like about this - Elijah Wood as the morally nebulous "lawyer" was a good addition, and while this wasn't Kathryn Newton best
role she also added to the proceedings. I also got a bang out of Varun Saranga (Wynonna Earp!!) showing up in basically the most "comedy
relief" role in this flick. (I was also surprised to see Maia Jae
Bastidas pop up in the film.)
ÿÿ But we got about what I expected out of Shawn Hatosy and his
character, and Sarah Michelle Gellar gets a largely thankless role in
this one.
ÿÿ Otherwise the movie delivers about what you expect in terms of
conflict set-pieces (though probably with less flair than the original).
And I didn't care for our heroines!(tm) basically getting "beat" this time.
ÿÿ But the ending redeems this some, and as I said I appreciated that everything seems to get wrapped up in the end.
ÿÿ If you are a fan of the first flick, you will probably like this
one. If you haven't seen either flick, watch the first film first as I
think it's overall the better of the two.

I think I liked this a little more than you did. I appreciated that the sequel was larger in scope than the first one. Just more over the top.
I also watched it, I think within a week or two of seeing "They Will
Kill You" which had a very similar premise. The two movies paired great together.

Good Morning Vietnam (Showtime) 1987 comedy directed by Barry Levinson
and starring Robin Williams as a radio DJ stationed in Vietnam during
the Vietnam war. He's a hit with the troops, but he gets on the bad
side of his superior officers by being funny and wanting to report the
truth about the war. I think this might be my second time ever watching
this movie. While I am a big Robin Williams fan, this was one of his
movies that never really cared much about. But I am planning on
watching some other Robin Williams movies soon, and figured I'd squeeze
this one in too. I'm glad I did. I liked it a lot more on this viewing.

This is one of his more-quotable movies.

Here's the problem. It's supposed to be a biopic but they don't pull it
off. Williams' clowning around is funny as hell, but the abrubt change
in tone to straight drama is off putting. He's a much better dramatic
actor than he shows in this movie. Patch Adams has similar problems.

Are you going to re-watch One Hour Photo? That's a psychological drama
f\if not verging on horror. No comedy at all.

Absolutely watching "One Hour Photo." The current plan is to first do a Christopher Nolan marathon (I already watched Interstellar the other
week) then go directly into a Robin Williams marathon which will include Nolan's "Insomnia" which pairs great with "One Hour Photo." Psycho
Robin Williams back to back. :-)

And I lucked out on my timing because just in time for my marathon they
are coming out with a new 4K version of What Dreams May Come.
Unfortunately I'm still stuck with only a DVD copy of Bicentennial Man
which was never released on blu-ray and isn't even available to stream
for free. :-/

There is also a new 4K of "Popeye" coming out in August, but I"m not
going to wait for it.

After an arduous workout and pool scrubbing I started the more recent
version of ?Born Yesterday?, with real life married couple Melanie Griffith
and Don Johnson. Mediocre.
