I inferred from this that the book ('The Naturalist' by Andrew Mayne)
might in fact be a recommendable thriller. And so it turned out to be ...including in ways that seem ill-suited to a TV adaptation.
I wouldn't worry about it. Adaptations never stick teh the source
material anyway ... the Hollyweird idiot in charge always "knows
better" than the person who created it. :-\
